Description of the ice hockey dasher boards.

The ice hockey rink is surrounded with boards, which overtop the level of the ice surface by 1.17 – 1.22 m.
The boards of the ice hockey rink consist of straight lines and radius sections.
The sizes of ice hockey rink: typical 56-61 m long and 26-30 m wide, or any custom size.
Corners of the ice hockey rink are rounded by an arch with the radius from 7 to 8.5 m, or any custom radius.
The steel structure of the boards are made from metal pipes of rectangular section.
Components of the boards are mounted by separate sections on established in advance in the top concrete layer weeding mortgage details.
The boards of the ice hockey rink have 4variants of performance: single-sided and double-sided, aluminum and plywood.
The boards are made so that the surface turned to ice is smooth, of white color and without any ledges, which can cause a trauma to players.
The basis of the boards has the bumper strip of yellow color 15-25 cm high.
It is possible to make lines on the ice hockey rink. For example, lines of dark blue color 30 cm wide across the ice hockey rink, dividing it into three equal parts and proceeding vertically upwards on surface of the boards, etc.
In the straight sites of the boards, there are 6 gates, which open outside towards the ice hockey rink. Their number can be changed according to the customer’s desire.
According to the “Rules of Contests” (clause 102) protective glass 160 - 200 cm high is established on the front boards of the ice hockey rink as well as along the lateral boards 4 m away from the goal line.
Protective glass 80 - 120 cm high is installed on the boards along the whole length of the ice hockey rink, except for space in front of the players’ benches.
