VENTILATED FACADES
The ventilated facade system (VFS) is applied for:
- Provide thermal protection for new constructions as well as the buildings being reconstructed;
- Achieve the thermal properties of a building meeting the requirements of Construction Regulations.
- Make the buildings look modern with the use of wide range of color solutions.
The VFS is a multilayer design. The first inside layer is a concrete or brick wall (bearing in most cases).
Further, according to the customer’s desire, the heat insulation made of water-repellent mineral wool,
which prevents from formation of fungi and is an excellent noise insulator, is attached to outside.
In order to implement the VFS metal or aluminum framework is attached to a wall and then facing tiles are attached to it.
Facing is performed with the mounted panels resistant to weather impact. In case the panels are damaged, those can be easily repaired and cleaned.
In summer heat, the VFS prevents from heat penetration through external wall into the premises.
In the winter, the facing tiles protect from wind, while the heat insulation of building allows to cut the heating expenses.
Absence of sharp changes of internal temperature is a pleasant aspect as well.
The ventilated design of facades allows to mount additional heat insulation from outside,
which from the point of view of thermal physics is the most effective way.
The advantages of ventilated facade system:
- The all-season installation (facing works can be executed at any time of the year);
- Easy to use and maintain;
- Protects walls from drastic weather impact (facing tiles protect an old wall from rain);
- Preserves heat energy;
- Eliminates condensation on the surface (presence of air gap helps evacuate water steam from inside, and enhances moisture migration as a result infiltration);
- Protects buildings from temperature deformations;
- Protects constructive components of the building from corrosion;
- In case of reconstruction, the necessity for thorough sealing of seams between panels is decreased.
The fiber cement tiles with the natural stone surface (tile "Cem Stone", "Split"),
with the polyurethane coating (tile "Cem Color"), with the acrylate coating (tile "Cynor", "Kraskolor"),
the fiber cement tiles without coating (tile "Minerit"), the tiles with the silicon organic coating (tile "GLASAL NT")
as well as the tiles made of ceramic granite are used as the facing tiles.
